Myisha Cherry is associate professor of philosophy at the University of California, Riverside, where she also directs the Emotion and Society Lab. She is the author of The Case for Rage: Why Anger Is Essential to Anti-Racist Struggle and UnMuted: Conversations on Prejudice, Oppression, and Social Justice, which draws on her popular podcast UnMute. She has been widely featured in the media, including the Los Angeles Times, The New Yorker, the Atlantic, BET, and the podcast Pod Save the People.

Professor Justin Clardy (He/they) is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Santa Clara University and is the author of the recent book Why It's Ok to Not Be Monogamous published in 2023 with Routledge Press. Professor Clardy is a Los Angeles native whose research spans across normative questions that arise within the context of interpersonal relationships and political theories. Within that context, they have special interests in intimacies and emotions such as love, tenderness, compassion, sympathy, and empathy. More recently, his work has been bringing insights from Afropessimism to bear on questions in the philosophy of love in his manuscript in progress titled Love Hates Us: Love Race and Non-Monogamies in America.

Outside of academia, Prof. Clardy is the founder of PAGES the Reading Group (a.k.a. PAGES TRG) where they are able to share their love for reading with others in community and the public through social media influence and the PAGES Pod podcast. He is a domestic fish-keeper and aquascaper, an impassioned sports fanatic, and an avid and pensive brunch critic.
